Café by day, tapas bar by night, The Foodbarn is owned and run by internationally acclaimed chef Franck Dangereux. Having earned his stripes at three-star Michelin restaurants in France, Franck settled in Cape Town where he established the acclaimed La Colombe restaurant on the Constantia Uitsig wine farm. His current obsession takes the form of The Foodbarn.
Referring to it as “the lovechild of the coffee shop which used to be housed in our Deli, and the restaurant where serious food and wine pairings were the norm”, The Foodbarn is where fine dining meets down-to-earth vibes.
The Foodbarn is very conscious of local support, and all ingredients are sourced locally where possible. They serve their famous breakfasts, café and bistronomy lunches, and of course their irresistible tapas dinners.
Open Monday to Sunday for breakfast and lunch, and Tuesday to Saturday
for tapas dinner.
